Outlook: Consumers are influenced both positively and negatively by advertisements

Positive influences:

+ Consumers are often spoilt for choice in the same category

Negative influences:

+ Consumers can’t be sure of the quality of products advertised online.

+ Consumers are made to spend money for products they don’t really need.

Measures taken:

+ Strict regulations from the government to control advertising activity

+ Consumers protect themselves (by adopting experiences from other buyers, learning more about advertisements and how it works, etc.)
